AZIZA

A crossroad of flavors and cultures

“Aziza brings the rich history behind Israeli cooking and hospitality traditions to our local community; creating a dining experience that leaves guests feeling as though they have just been welcomed into a home in Israel.”

Inspired by the fresh and authentic Middle Eastern food, custom lighting and dark colors were selected for the space. Custom banquettes were designed to reflect traditional Middle Eastern shapes, forms, and architecture. The mixture of muted brown and rich green tones create a cozy and authentic space. Elements of the design reflect Tal Baum’s childhood spent in Israel, and Chef Brandon Hughes travels throughout the country. Our studio aimed to recreate the feeling both Baum and Hughes have had during their time in the Middle East. With hand troweled walls in cream plaster, niches of glass lanterns, glowing candles, Moorish low vaulted ceilings, and Arabic signage — we designed an intimate and bustling restaurant that can be open for generations.
