Bringing change to the South

Ryan Hughes, the creative behind the R Hughes brand, first came to our studio to design his 4,000 square foot showroom in Atlanta’s Decorative Arts Center.

Ryan’s initial vision was to create the frame and atmosphere to display his brand’s luxury design collections. The conceptual process focused on creating a space that balances the tension between high style and vintage warehouse. Clients should feel as if they are entering a hotel lobby or notable public space as they enter the showroom. The traditional details contrasted against modern fixtures and finishes create a classic yet edgy space.

The finished showroom is a glamorous display of the top artisan interior furnishing products, but subtext tends to be more powerful and memorable. R Hughes is an exercise in minimalism and restraint; an edge of today’s design with classic details.
