THE OPTIMIST

Be Optimistic

Chef Ford Fry brought a seaside fish camp experience to the Westside of Atlanta.

The curation of fresh Alabama Gulf oysters, Maine sea scallops, and Georgia trout makes The Optimist one of the most loved seafood restaurants in the city.

Tucked away in an old ham-aging house, the restaurant has been re-designed to bring the feeling of the coast to the city. The seafood emporium has been outfitted in sleek white tile and floor-to-ceiling windows. The high-volume space is natural-chic; highly influenced by the feeling of the sea.

The design is built to match the seafood-centric menu; making the restaurant Esquire’s “Restaurant of the Year” in 2012.
